Mosque Discussion-9/2/11

I was on the side against the Mosque being built. I have nothing against Muslims or anything it’s just the fact that they want to build it so close to Ground Zero. There is one already close and were not making them take it down, so why build another even closer. I believe they knew what they were getting themselves into and they knew how many people were going to be against their decision. This discussion did not in fact change my mind about this because no matter what it is going to be disrespectful. I did learn that there are more people for the Mosque and also why they are. I do understand their point of view but i still don’t see a point in building it so close to where the Muslims bombed us.

Lower Manhattan Mosque Funding

A Imam is leading the building of the Mosque. And questions that are being put out are; where are they getting the money to build a $100 million Mosque? They also say that is one of the reasons New Yorker's are protesting is because of finance reasons. The Imam has already bought the property and is going to have to buy the land next to it as well. 70% of the New Yorker's are all asking the same question;  "where did they get the money from?" Mosque Near Ground Zero?

Some are starting to say that the Mosque that might go is considered a "house of evil". There was a vote taken and 29 to 1 were against the Mosque going up. Many also believe that it is disrespectful towards the 9/11 victims.http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/video/mosque-ground-10753844
